I hate to sound rude, but that complex looks like it brings the whole area down. If I lived off Avon, I would not want to suddenly be the next block over from it...

Arjay, you need to guinea pig this for us. I'm really interested in the area, I need a trusted source to move in and give me a solid opinion.

If I was single I would almost certainly buy there.

cq, I guess it is just my nature to kick over the Apple cart every now and then. I grew up on that side of town and have always liked the neighborhood.

Seems like it has quite a bit of potential.

I am sure what that old timer phrase means, but kick all the carts you want. Just make sure to wear steel toed boots.

Sale of Adair Park school approved, will be converted into mixed use development, that preserves the historic character of the building.

I'm getting the idea that none of the folks in Adair Park are on city-data.

Maybe I will run down to the NPU-V meeting and see what's going on.

It isn't all that surprising. I've participated in a few neighborhood activities in the Westend, Adair Park, Sylvan Hills, Capital View areas and the reality is that it's a few very involved and passionate individuals that are currently improving the area.

I'm still looking in the area but sadly poor quality real estate rehabs still make up the majority of the residential available for purchase. Invest Atlanta and the Beltline just hosted a home tour this past weekend and I visited about 8 homes and they fell in 2 categories (overpriced for the quality/local) or (poorly located).

.
Just a guess but I'm wondering if the area is mostly elderly homeowners there for whom progress isn't really a priority.
