I may be miss-remembering this.
Back around 2009 or 2010 I thought that Fulton couldn't reassess your property but once every 5 years.

I had my property tax go up 25% last year (due to re-assessment) and then just got notice of another 25% increase.

I've searched online and swore I remember a story in the AJC for around that time and I can't fine reference on the assessor's site.....so that argument may be out.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure the recent assessment is out of reason for my property value.Anyone had success appealing?

Any value in those companies that claim to do the appeal process for you?

War stories? advice?

Check comps and recent sales in your neighborhood. I felt the same way when my assessment increased 20% this year, then checked recents sales of comparable homes around me and they were in line with what Fulton said was fair market value of my place. I don't like it, but I don't think I can win an appeal.
