My daughter has ADHD and Dyslexia and I'm not pleased with the academics at her current school. I don't feel they raise the bar high enough for students. So, does anyone know of a mainstream private school in Atlanta that has a pretty good reputation/program for students with this profile? My daughter is a rising 8th grader. And she's always attended private school and struggled some since her dyslexia was undiagnosed til recently.

Are you looking for High School years?
Start new school in August 2016?

You are past the deadline for just about all the private school in the Atlanta Area.

Also 8th grade is not really a big we have open slot year.

K, [3/4], 6, 9 are the big ones.

St. Francis -- and they often have slots in most years.

Call The Schenck School. They go through 6th grade but can tell you your options. They are solely devoted to dyslexic students.

Thanks for the advice. I will call St. Francis and get insights from The Schenk School.

You also might want to look at Mill Springs Academy. It may be less "mainstream" than St. Francis, but could meet your children's needs and may have more availability.
