It's amazing to see the growth of the tech industry in Midtown...

Stanley Black & Decker Inc. (NYSE: SWK) is expected to put an innovation center in Midtown — the latest in a string of corporations putting R&D outposts in the area.
Black and Decker is said to have picked Atlantic Station for what could be a a 6,000 square foot R&D center, sources said. The New Britain, Conn.-based tool and equipment maker had considered Austin, Texas for project, a source said.

Black & Decker did not return several calls and emails. CBRE, which leases space in Atlantic Station's office towers, did not return a call Monday morning.

In recent months, Black & Decker has posted several job openings for an Atlanta Digital Accelerator. One posting referenced a Director of Software Engineering, who would “run the software delivery team within the Digital Accelerator (and be) ...responsible for software development oversight for consumer-facing digital products.”

Maybe this will allow them to figure out how to make half way decent products.

Yeah, I think that refers to the loft-style office building that Hines plans to develop. Atlantic Station doesn't quite have the "cool" factor of Ponce City Market, and that project aims to appeal to tenants that want more unique space like PCM.

Probably a good idea, I wonder how much, if any, office space is left at PCM.

As of April, there was only about 50,000 square feet of office space remaining at PCM on two separate floors (according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle). I read that PCM is being very selective about tenants due to the high demand, and also hiking the rates.
