Well, I am hopeful that by now the attendees have learned to be responsible. I realize that most of these youngsters are driving in from other areas but that doesn't mean they can't respect our city parks.

What a bunch of hyperbole. The author uses the phrases "beyond repair" and "permanent damage" several times, and his only photographic evidence is a four foot square of missing sidewalk.
