Yeah, it's true. Its sad how much parking causes issues. I read it more as them wanting the land though, hopefully to put a tower on top. But you could be right.

We can do a lot of better things with the 93,000 parking spaces in downtown. What can you put in 93,000 parking spaces?

How did you miss my point so completely? When people post the entire article in full, it denies the article's author of the page views or subscriptions necessary to stay in business, so we can keep getting high-quality local business reporting. Maria Saporta posts the full article on her website because she clearly has an agreement with the Business Chronicle that lets her do that. And it's great, because that means those of us without ABC subscriptions get to read her writing, without resorting to stealing.

This was my impression as well, it was more about the land than what's currently on it. But Atlanta developers have to deal with the public perception that any development without scads of excess parking has too little.

Well you all know I am for a balance between cars and transit. Pro both. But even I in my old ways can see the benefit of less public parking downtown. You guys need a real neighborhood, which, in my humble opinion, means fewer monolithic garages.

You must wonder what Kasim future political career will be. He sure is doing a lot of things before this term is up.

Yes. Details are still being figured out, but many of the historic facades will remain.

Great news.

Hopefully, the Gulch is redeveloped too. Dowtown has been neglected in recent years while Midtown thrived. This may precipitate development diwntown too.
