You'll have to ask the guy driving the blue car with no plates.

Despite its pedigree of developing suburban-style big box retail centers, it seems, at least from this article, that WRS and Smith are "getting it" when it comes to what should be developed here. This is encouraging.

I agree, and have to admit given their history I've been a little worried. This sounds good, and the conceptual renderings are on the mark in my opinion.

They're doing pretty great so far! My only gripe is that open air space above the retail. I believe it should be filled in with some upper level offices/apartments.

I really is! I wanna see more renderings. So far they're making me all happy.

So this makes it look like they will be putting buildings on top of the MARTA tracks. The north corner (on the right in the pic) just has MARTA tracks (below the grade) there right now.

I share all the enthusiasm for this development, but I wish folks wouldn't post the full text of paid articles here; it's disrespectful to the local journalists who cover the Atlanta business beat, a topic that we're totally reliant on local journalists to cover. Let's support them by paying to read their work. Maria Saporta's writing is surely worth a few bucks.
