Hi,
Would like expert opinions about longevity of two cars and which one to keep long term?

First car is an Infinity G35 2005 with 130,000 miles in good condition. New brakes.

Second Car is Toyota Sienna Van, 2000, with 138,000 miles in good condition. New Brakes.

The car that will be kept will be used to drive 30 miles a day round trip to work. Considering maintenance costs, and reliability, which car should I keep?

ALL opinions are welcome! Thank you!

Not sure a somewhat public transit oriented forum is the best place to ask your question, so you might get more responses here.

If it was me and didn't need the extra space the van provides, would go with the newer vehicle.

My opinion is not expert but I'd keep the Infinit even though I don't think it may not be the best long term decision.

The Infinity is newer and smaller so will burn less gas It is also a more prestigious make than the Toyota.

The Toyota appears to have had a lot less wear and tear since it's five years older lyet there are only a few thousand miles difference in mileage. (It might even concern me that the odometer had been altered, but I'll just assume everything is accurate about both vehicles.)

Unless I needed to haul something, be it items or a gang of kids, I would not select a van over a car.

I would go with the Infinity. They make a nice automobile.

This is not a "public transit-oriented" forum; most people in Metro Atlanta drive, period. Most people count on a personal vehicle to traverse the multiple counties and areas in this region.

Both makes of vehicle are known for their reliability, but Infinitys hold their value longer. If you don't need the cargo space a van offers, I would go with the Infinity. On the other hand, if you have kids or haul stuff, keep the van.

Keep the Infiniti. My friend has a 2003 Infiniti G35 with over 300,000 miles on it and she still drives it as her daily commuter car. She has had no problems out of it. Just keep the oil changed and the engine tuned up and it will last you a very long time.
