Well, if you are in a hole, "keep digging" is not the best idea. Which is exactly what the "keep building wider highways" solution to traffic amounts to.

There are better solutions than doing nothing, but let's stop digging first.

Agreed, though this particular project of tolled managed lanes is a step in the right direction as opposed to expanding GP lane capacity, which would've been the default position of GDOT 30 years ago.

The poster I was replying to despises the fact that Atlanta is the size it is and his "solutions" make no financial and logistical sense (see his previous post).
