Do you really think the news can cover every crime story? The news is not omnipresent. You realize they allow guns all over the place now because of the new gun law. Surely more crime happens then this that we don't hear about:

Carjackings happen, as do pedestrian robberies. Should we just hole ourselves up?

Crime is real. Lol, I know that. But maybe I don't like the environment that is often on the public transportation. Is it wrong if I want a peaceful commute? No one can see my ipod in my car. I pull out a 100 bucks I don't become a target. It's just a matter of feeling comfortable. I can't feel that way on a train.
