Is it really that hard to back up?

GDOT and whoever else just needs to paint the correct stop lines and the buses would have no issues with making right turns on those streets.

Cars need to stop at the stop bars and not pull into the crosswalks.

Are you joking? When there are multiple cars (which is almost always), and the ones in back can't even tell that you need to back up it's literally impossible.

Stupid post, PK.

In many cases the stop bars are at or very close to the intersection/crosswalk, or are nonexistent. Clearly you've never had to drive down Auburn towards Boulevard.

I remember those buses back from the eighties. Buford Highway route 39 definitely can use them.

That's what a horn is for, dumbass....

Again, as I stated, if the stop bars are done correctly, you would not have these issues. Not an issue in the NE so why is it a problem here?

Most of the time you here a horn, you figure the driver is blowing it at someone towards the front, not the back. Just saying.

Either way, who the hell doesn't notice a 40 feet bus turning in front of them? If the bus can't move, you can't go either so someone has to notice afterwhile that a. the car(s) are reversing and b. the bus isn't moving.

What am I missing?

If a bus driver doesn't know how to drive their bus, or GDOT doesn't know how big a bus is, that's not my problem. Not only will I refuse to move if I'm the first person in line, if not, then I will most definitely let the person in front of me know that I will not back up, and that I do not appreciate their attempt to further delay my drive by [trying to] backing up then sitting and waiting on an oversize vehicle.
