The topic of flea markets came up recently.
I Googled the best ones here in Atl.
Just inquiring, what has been your experiences at the local flea markets here?

My experience is minimal, and that's being generous. Only been here once, at their Marietta location. Not even sure you'd really call it a flea market?

Yes, I've been to that one in marietta.
Maybe I have the wrong impression.
The flea markets I'm familiar with are like the outdoor ones where people set up crap (sometimes great crap)in booths for the weekend kind of flea market. Like this:

These aren't metro Atlanta area but the best I have been to are in Macon (smiley's) and Dalton.

There is one sat and sun morning at the Starlight drive in movie theater in Atlanta that is pretty expansive with lots of random wares.

Also the Pendegrass flea market up exit 137 off 85.

These are the "legit" flea markets not like GOODWILL (which I do like lol)

What's the sign I've seen on I-85 that advertises the largest indoor flea market in the southeast or something?

Buford Highway Flea Market has some interesting vendors.

But I know the kind you are talking about, the ones that set up at fairgrounds where for every table you find with something interesting on it, there are 100 people selling old Coke bottles, doll heads, and old underwear.

I went to an event one time in Forest Park at a place that looked like a gigantic permanent area for a flea market, with concrete roofs you could set tables up under, but it was open air. The place was huge. I'm not sure what they do there, or maybe it's a relic from the past.
