Cumberland Mall.

Help keep it open so it can remain uncrowded.

Btw, Apple anything is a rip-off. I had to say it. Being a vp / lead architect of software engineering, I have no choice but to use one some of the time when working on things for Apple computers.

That being said, you can get much better deals online than in the stores. Just make sure what you end up with is genuine.

LOL, that's not true at all. Apple devices cost the same at all authorized resellers. If you start looking on the gray market... good luck I guess.

You get what you pay for.

Good point. Although I live in Vinings, I ended up at North Point due to my sister missing a Genius Bar appointment. I was shocked at how small North Point is. And it was packed. You almost had to go in sideways. They did have the first available genius appointment on a Saturday though so I would assume it has the fewer number of people although with the smaller square footage, you wouldn't feel it.

The least crowded one is probably the one in Norcross at The Forum, if you are willing to make the drive.

There's an Apple Store there?

Not true! Just compare the cost from an Apple authorized online seller like B&H Photo(bhphotovideo.com) to other retail stores.

No. There's an independent Apple-authorized service provider there, though.

But all bets are off if you happen to be in the market for a product made by Apple: Both iOS devices and Macs seem to be impervious to the discount game. In fact it’s so rare to find a significant price variance between retailers that, when it does happen, the event usually draws considerable press coverage.

With so many laws regulating competition among retailers, how does Apple pull off this amazing feat? It turns out that the company uses a fairly straightforward strategy, known as price maintenance, that takes advantage of the popularity of its products and exploits a quirk in the way retailers are allowed to advertise their merchandise.

Apple is only a ripoff if you fail to consider the TCO. Their stuff is more expensive but it typically has good build quality and lasts longer than most cheap stuff. I still have a 2010 iMac that works great 5 years later, only had to replace the hard drive. It will probably last me another 2-3 years.

I have an iBook from 2001, which still works to this day.
I have a MacBook from 2008, which still works to this day.
My sister has a MacBook Pro from 2010 and dropped it several times, but it still works miraculously.

I've gotta say, they make some damn good computers.
I haven't had the same type of experience on Windows laptops from HP and Dell.
