Yep. Cobb deserves to be singled out for their anti-regionalism.

Cobb leaders have been in the forefront of good regional development. Without their push the 2012 TIA would never even have made it to a vote. Their leadership with the ARC has also benefited the city of Atlanta in many ways.

If you do have this pro-Cobb / anti-region / anti-Atlanta sentiment I speak of, you better follow the lead of others in Cobb and isolate yourself from those with different views and ignore me, I won't miss you. But just because you don't hear it doesn't make it true.

If you feel like me at want to see Cobb join the region, speak out. Call out the anti-region folks.

make them respect you champion. Cobb County hurts the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. They do and say a lot of foul stuff about Atlanta-Fulton and have for some time now. Keep swing that ax until the tree falls man. I respect it.

1. Why are people responding if they don't think this thread has value? I ignore others threads all the time. I would normally ignore this one, but the whining on both sides is dumb.

2. County leadership is not reading this website. However, you can find their contact information online. I email my reps all the time and get responses.

3. Put your money where your mouth is... Move to Cobb county and vote your opinions. Better yet, run for office and make a difference. Talk is cheap.

I guess people just get sucked in and feel the need to throw in their $.02.

Redclear,

Totally understandable and good advice. I get sucked in a fair bit too. For me the reason I am choosing to be more vocal recently after a long time where I did just let it go is this is an active poster that most want to stay active here, but the constant aggressive anti-Cobb slant has been recurring so much it has to be called out at some point to try to maintain any bit of healthy conversation about Cobb in the future. From the way he talks it appears he is such a self-delusional bubble regarding Cobb, it isn't going to stop until people pop it... even if it causes him to push back a bit in the short-run. It is just like our past corn and math problems, but the other way around.
