Guy is a scumbag. We went out to Buckhead bars with a mutual group of friends and as soon as his girlfriend left he was hitting on every girl in the bar.

Well, his first collegiate pass was a touchdown to Calvin Johnson, it is a decent pick up line. In all seriousness, does this type of gossip belong on here?

A politicians character seems important in my book.

Oh wait we should only comment on people we have never met because that really tells the true story!

Yes, it should but character is getting less and less correlated to winning elections.

What does matter is if we like the politician with poor character. The media and people loved JFK and Clinton, so they mostly brushed their poor character aside w/ "all presidents cheat." It's a news story in the "drawing ratings" department, but no consequences to their careers.

OTOH, if the media doesn't particularly like you or you don't fit their narrative, i.e. Herman Cain, then those 2 women you flirted/messed with 10 years ago become the death of your political career.

For all you know, they have an open relationship. It's none of your business and no reflection on him as a politician or a person.

Well, I meant balance in the broader sense, not an exact split down the middle. If you have one group that always gets it way and there are no checks and balances, that leads to excess and corruption.

True, but I don't think we necessarily have that problem here. Republicans have only been in total control of state government since 2002. While I haven't been a fan of anything they've done in that time, governments need a little stability. I'd hate to what would happen if control flopped every few years.
