I hate artist sketches. They almost never look like the end product for one reason or another.

This is correct as College Park is the closest MARTA station for south side commuters.

These projects will do well to expand MARTA's footprint as more of the growing suburbs will likely want to adopt this model. If proven to bring in more tax revenue, then say building a new road, we could see a shift to more regional transit solutions.

Bring it on and quickly.

Are they also going to do TOD around College Park and other stations on the south side?

I know they announced a TOD at Oakland City. Not sure about College Park and East Point.

College Park approves new $35 million mixed-use project near MARTA station

The mixed-use project would become the latest in a series of new developments next to MARTA stations across the region. Others are in the works in cities such as Brookhaven and intown neighborhoods such as Candler Park.

Do they generally run additional or longer trains (more cars per train) on race day?

Pretty sure they run more trains only, since the platforms can't handle an additional pair of cars.

Then again, one race I did, the train had a whole car hanging out past the end of the platform at Lindbergh. Watched a guy nearly faceplate onto the riptrack.

Don't know if that's from a longer train, or from driver error, though.

What are you talking about? MARTA runs 6 car trains normally and all the platforms except Bankhead can handle 8 cars.
