I bet the bridge will happen, eventually. Tim Lee has pretty much hooked his wagon to it. He'll find a way to make it happen, if just to say "I told you so".

Cobb’s Lee puts brakes on I-285 bridge to Braves stadium

Quote:
...Make no mistake; I am not rethinking the idea of the bridge. I continue to believe that the bridge would be a major asset to Cobb County. Funding has been identified through the Cobb County SPLOST program and our annual Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funding. When our partners at the Galleria are ready to move forward, Team Cobb will be ready...
Sounds like Lee and "Team Cobb" are still pushing the bridge.

Pretty sure that "/s" means sarcasm or something equivalent.

Braves bridge delayed at least one year | www.ajc.com

Quote:
Lee repeated in the newsletter that the cost estimate for the bridge is $9 million — a figure the county has used for nearly two years. The AJC has reported previously that at least two engineers not involved with the project have cast doubt that the bridge could built for that amount.
Quote:
The AJC has repeatedly tried to have questions answered about how the bridge would be funded — as late as Tuesday, when a reporter tried to ask Lee several questions about the bridge after a commission meeting. He refused an answer any, and then walked away from the reporter.

The AJC then asked Lee’s assistant for an interview, and was told that the chairman wouldn’t be available the rest of the week.
Sounds like someone is grumpy.

The bridge has finally collapsed on Cobb county, and their hopes to solve all traffic, parking woes. They effed up. No other way to explain it.

This doesn't change much, there will still be circulating buses to ferry fans from parking to the stadium

That get caught in game day traffic making their impact minimal as people will not ride them if they just sit there. MARTA, at least had bus only lanes around the stadium.
