So no one is looking at the monitors @ night (Day??), No software to "Watch" the cameras looking for pixels differences and bring that camera up to show to who ever is suppose to watching them?

Those Paint jobs took a while, not a TAG and run.
You don't see this stuff happen in MARTA's rail yards.

Just saying...

From the news reports it looks like that are stored under the Interstate (in the maintenance area) with ~10' rod iron fence. Around it.

But APD has thousands of Camera all over the city, Spends millions putting in more and having 24 hour monitoring center. But seem the Camera are re-active not pro-active, After something happens they go back and look at the "Tape".

My Office has 50 some-odd Cameras, All are recorded. Since they we have only minimal security staff on at night. The Security Guard might be doing rounds, Getting coffee etc. All the camera have software that bring any changes to the guards attention, and s/he need to acknowledge what the software finds, to take action on it or dismiss it. (Something like 99.9% are dismissed)

Sure it does. I have seen tagged MARTA trains in their yard. But just like MARTA, the streetcars don't go out tagged, they clean them first. They are already running 2 of the 4 streetcars again.

Of course not every property can be 100% secure. But given the Streetcar projects scope, cost and potential impact on tourism and economic development it should be a top priority for security.

The streetcar project right now is so minor in scope (not a knock on it) right now how do they not have them better secure? I don't expect Marta to be able to keep an eye on every single train they have but keeping an eye on the few streetcars in service shouldn't be that hard.

Common city issue.... That is why their is an image of city public transportation always covered in graffiti..... Now they know they gotta lock it up. And that goes with Atlantic Station Shops, Buckhead Atl, and now this!

From CBS46:

The security firm responsible for watching over Atlanta's streetcars has been replaced after the streetcars were vandalized.
.
A spokesperson with the mayor's office confirmed that a new security firm will watch over the streetcars. There will also be an additional police presence, according to the spokesperson.

Police are trying to find the suspects who spray painted graffiti on three streetcars in downtown Atlanta early Tuesday morning.

The incident happened in the location where the streetcars are parked during the overnight hours. Police say it appears the vandals may have jumped the fence and tagged the cars.

The streetcars shuttle passengers from Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta to the King Historic site.

Those streetcars just came online at the beginning of the year.

Two of the streetcars have been cleaned and will be in operation Tuesday.

Surveillance footage has been released by police in hopes of locating the suspect. Mobile users, click here to watch the video.
