Is this site accurate? Its showing southwest Johns Creek as a high crime area

Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

Is there a huge difference in crime based on the east or west side of Barnwell Rd.?

Most of your crime tends to be around commercial areas.

They're some pretty expensive homes on that side of the road as well, is it advisable to look in another area?

If I had to guess, I'd say that the numbers are skewed only because it butts up against Holcomb Bridge Rd. If you look at what's actually in that shaded area, a pretty good chunk of it is dense woods or a golf course.

TL;DR - you'll be fine.

Statistically Johns Creek is one of the safest in the entire state. The problem with that site is that it has no absolute scale. It's all relative. So the worst in Johns Creek could be better than the best of Scottdale but you wouldn't know through that map. Go the Roswell page and look at the same map. You'll see that the parts that border the "worst" are adjacent to some of the best in Roswell. And Roswell itself is pretty safe. That whole area is nice. I wouldn't worry.

Johns Creek is one of the safest areas in the entire state. As arjay was saying, crime rates near large shopping centers/malls tend to be skewed by shoplifting from retail stores.
