So I'm kind of annoyed that there is a category called "non-families". Just a general language skewing that should be addressed,I think. Also - am surprised - if non-families include gay couples and roommates - that the incomes are so much lower. There are often still 2 incomes in those setups. But I am guessing it's a factor of extrapolating from census data, and that since they are "non-families" they are not considered dual income, even if each income was reported.
