My guess is that they will have a plan B next year. Holding an event of that size is a massive undertaking and people who are brave enough to do so are the kinds of people who learn and improve. Monday morning quarterbacking is the easy part.

So you are arguing that rain in Atlanta is highly unusual weather?

I was actually out their picking up stranded passengers and hearing from them personally.
Well yeah, that's another story...the positive comments about the location are in response to one person who has a strange fixation with Atlanta. The logistics issues are definitely a concern but are unrelated to the location. Sometimes major events like this experience these problems and hopefully the organizers will learn something from them that will result in future improvements. It's just silly for anyone to point the finger at Atlanta, but not at all surprising considering the source.

Surely my paxs last night knew it was not Atlanta's fault. They are actually enjoying the city. It also is a great location. The point I was trying to make was they closed the parking lots and stop running shuttles leaving many people stranded that paid for tickets.

Yeah, it was a horrible thing to do and heads should roll over that decision. I'm sure many of those folks will never come back.

Rain in Atlanta for a week with little let up is highly unusual. Ask Atlanta residents.

Seeing that photo of cars driving through floodwaters makes me cringe. Just, don't, people.

I wasn't there for the rain but it sounds like the type of event that isn't common, but it's not uncommon either. Just a bunch of rain that can happen and this weekend it did.

Just wait until all of the stories start getting out. Then everyone will realize what a disaster this really was.
