This is all very exciting for someone who just purchased a home directly across the street from Phoenix Park on Connally. I already love the neighborhood. I cannot wait to see what it's like in 5 and 10 years.

Be prepared for a lot more people; on foot, bike, transit, and more car traffic.

Yeah, it will be a great area in a few years. Going from barely having a grocery store in driving distance to being able to walk or take transit to everything you need.

I don't see why a lot of this can't be accomplished in 5 to 10 years.

Mayor Reed: Find Turner Field buyer that can redevelop project in 'five years'
Yes, very interesting. I forgot about that. I think this could all be happening much sooner than many are thinking.

Sounds like the buyers are planning to incorporate many of the features of these plans:

Turner Field Master Plan | www.ajc.com

Carter President Scott Taylor said Monday his group plans to incorporate many of the features in the master plan for the 67 acres Georgia State and the developers intend to purchase.

“We’ve been very supportive of the LCI process from the beginning and believe that our ultimate site plan will incorporate numerous insights from the three plans that were approved from the LCI process,” Taylor said.

This is a way better deal than the Braves got in Cobb. An actual walkable district with transit right next to Downtown. Makes me believe the only reason they left was to receive a handout.
