they also built a Del Taco at South Cobb and East-west connector. ate there a few times; just ok. as a former inhabitant of Texas, i do miss having Whataburger, Taco Bueno and Jack-in-the-box.

speaking of new fast food joints on Cobb Pkwy, has anyone seen the red barn themed Zaxbys? its in front of Target.

This is funny. Here in Ca I have often driven 30 miles to go to Del Taco. My friends teased me about missing it when I move to Atlanta.
Well now look at this post!

You don't understand how much I miss Whataburger right now...
I'm counting down the weeks to my return to College Station in November. I just don't get how Birmingham can have them but Atlanta can't. They just have to break into the market eventually.

I have to admit to two things Texas has won me over in my years here (as much as I hate to admit it). I say Whataburger is the best fast food burger by far. Haven not been impressed at all with Jack In the Box or In and Out tho....

The second is brisket for BBQ. Prefer it to pulled pork that is the staple for GA BBQ. But nobody in the entire state has a clue as to what Brunswick stew is. Can't find it anywhere.

Racetrac does have boiled peanuts tho, woohoo!

I had JITB once, wasn't impressed. In and Out's burger was good but I hate the fries. Always seemed stale, but it was cheap. I still like pulled pork more, but only when I'm not in Texas, I don't know if they do it on purpose but pulled pork over there is just not as good as elsewhere in the SE. But they certainly do their brisket right. I used to drive through Crockett and there was a BBQ place attached to a gas station (attached to a Whataburger of course). You better believe I got some brisket every single time. Even if it was too early for lunch I grabbed a little.

Most fast food is trash, but Del taco is the lesser evil compared to Taco bell
