And? Gwinnett is still a mess. Otherwise, the feds wouldn't be investigating them right now...

Your tax dollars aren't be stolen but they will be if you want to be a part of LaVista Hills, who by the way has proposed to contract out all of their municipal services to Dekalb County with the exception of Planning & Zoning and law enforcement. I live in the City of Atlanta...thanks!
You are talking without any awareness of what has been going on.

Nancy is a clown, but she's honest. She has never been accused of anything but being difficult to work with. She'd be a great gadfly if she wasn't in public office.
And yes, Sutton, Ellis (forcing contractors to pay political bribes), departments all over the county, Boyer, possibly May are stealing my money. Rader, Gannon and Johnson haven't been good stewards and Johnson may be stealing as well.

And of course, Lewis and Reed from the school district were convicted for stealing.

It's all good. When/if this thread closes, there will be another one of those "Dekalb sucks" threads that will crop up like unkillable kudzu.

Heeey speak of the devil!

What's Wrong With Dekalb County?

Chew on this:

You brought up the term "race" first, not me. So who exactly is it that has the "race" issue, eh?

Its really a pretty county. Its funny to drive down LaVista or Ponce or even N. Druid Hills and you know when you enter DeKalb even without the sign. You go from concrete to trees, from well lit to dark (street lights are few and often out in DeKalb-in addition to the shade from the trees). Its usually several degrees cooler in both summer and winter than in central Atlanta.

I'm very aware of what is going on with Dekalb County.

Nancy Jester is a liar and a bloviating one at that. See that bull she pulled 2 weeks ago when the families of those killed by Dekalb County PD pulled her card and she tried to play victim because they called her a callous, inconsiderate, and apathetic ass (which she is). The Court Jester needs to have a seat and shut the hell up...

For what it's worth, that was posted by someone who loves DeKalb county, and was calling out folks that have a problem with it.

People who are grounded in emotional, intellectual, and spiritual truth do not take offense to my words.

Verily, they will wonder why there are not more strong-minded people willing to speak the same.

Because I am asking that question all the time. And I am tired of asking it.

For the record if Interim CEO Lee May is truly a crook, prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law and throw the book at him.

But stop acting like Dekalb is numero uno for corruption in Georgia.

The reporting on Dekalb is just bait for hardcore conservatives who are still butthurt that they don't rule in Dekalb like their parents & grandparents did before the 60s/70s.

Because the same sort of corruption is going on now at the Gold Dome and no one saying much of anything about that anymore. No visceral over-the-top outrage there.

Small wonder on that one...
