No, you were dismissing the seriousness of the DeKalb problems.

Meanwhile, the Court Jester is calling for May to resign.

DeKalb Commissioner Jester Calls for CEO May to Resign | Atlanta Progressive News

Well, if she calls for him to resign then she needs to resign as well. She is a proven liar since she alleged that the families of the victims of the recent Dekalb PD officer-involved shootings called her out for being a callous ass and she played the "white victim" claiming the blacks "threatened" her... Antics like shows her racial hubris towards those whom are different than her and cannot handle being challenged on her lies and delusion...

Democrats are also calling for May to resign, it isn't a partisan issue

Partisanship is irrelevant on a local level.

I'm not your son, and would advise to never use that term addressing me again. It's only important with a certain faction, it is basically those who reside on the northern portion. Those in south Dekalb do not care as much about partisanship as much as you doing your damn job and do not show you possess racial hubris towards non-whites as an elected official.

South Dekalb gov. (and therefore county leadership) is monolithic, so partisanship is very relevant. Political spoils are expected, which has led to hyper corruption in Dekalb county gov. and the school board.

If South Dekalb "does not care" they wouldn't vote in the same bums from the same party over and over again and allow them to drive the county into the dirt over the past 20 years.

Who are the "same bums" that have been in office for over 20 years? I'll wait for this response...

The whole county including all of its municipalities (long-standing and made-up ones) for a better lack of a word are f**ked up. I've yet seen a single urbanized county (meaning 200,000 inhabitants or more per the U.S. Census Bureau) in this country that actually functions as perfectly without any corruption because there is always going to be a faction that spoils the bunch. Especially, when one looks at urbanized counties in the eastern half of the US. This discussion now seems just moot and pointless and could be applied to Gwinnett, Cobb, Clayton, Fulton, Douglas, Fayette, Henry, Hall, but carry on...

Having contemptuous opinions of the governments of both Georgia and DeKalb County is allowed, you know.

You talking to brick walls here, man. It's tribalism at the end of the day.

Certain individuals jump on me for even daring to mention that there is something wrong with electing a person who used his Congressional office to maintain a lucrative no-bid salvaging contract with the state government.

Then the same individual through his intermediaries (wickedly brilliant on his part, too bad Burrell Ellis wasn't so smart) purposely interfered with a State Ethics Committee investigation.

But all these folks want to do talk crap on "urban" politicians all day and night. I don't take threads like these serious anymore.

I just go bombastic with it, get kicked off for a day or so, and just be happy.

My people though...my people, my people, my people...really need to step up.

The game is so blatantly obvious it ain't funny. And yet my people still think with a checkers mindset in a wickedly cold game requiring a chess-playng strategy.

I'd say Interim CEO Lee May and DA Robert James both deserve to be prosecuted and jailed just for playing this game in such an insanely stupid manner. The information is out there to avoid the pitfalls and yet brothas in office keep making the same grade school mistakes over and over again.

I just don't get it.
