I'm an experienced (and might I add, well put together) PR, Marketing & Advertising professional; with tons of media, fashion, event planning, and editorial experience. As well as corporate banking, real estate, and so forth (blah, blah...)

I've been doing business in Atlanta for years, even though I've resided else where... I've worked (and networked) with some big names. But now that I've settled here it's been hard as heck to get a good "in". I see plenty of great jobs with Turner, AT&T, MySpace, Neiman Marcus, Intercontinental Hotel Group, etc. but because no one seems to know me as well as others I rarely get a call back.

Like i mentioned, I'm greatly qualified for mid- to senior-level positions and I have alot to offer. I never thought it would be this difficult for someone with plenty of experience. Any thoughts? ideas? contacts?

I'm opened to all of it!

I'd start with some creative staffing agencies. Paladin is a good one here in town.

I recommend Execunet for networking (2 meetings a month, across many industries), and if you haven't done so yet, LinkedIn. Hang out a shingle as a consultant until you get a gig.

There's also DMA-Atlanta.com and www.ama-atlanta.com with local meetings.
