Unless you've experienced someone that has this obnoxious obsessive behavior with leaf blowers, you really don't understand what the neighbors are going through. You can make all the suburban jokes you want, but imagine someone basically dictating when you can go outside and be able to hear yourself think, or when you must close your windows from all the dust being kicked up, or just when you are forced to listen to the most annoying noise in the world, even inside your house, and you have no choice. I have a neighbor who for years would start blowing her yard EVERY Saturday at 1:00 and would go nonstop until at least 7 or 8:00. It was a nightmare. When she started doing this, I asked her many times very politely if she would maybe start earlier in the day, or could at least cut her hours. Basically every Saturday afternoon we were stuck inside. If you went outside, you couldn't hear someone talking a couple feet way. I'm sure I'll get some nasty comments on this regarding peoples rights to do this, but I'm not kidding...it was insanely awful. Over time my requests got less and less polite, until one day we ended up basically yelling at each other in the middle of the street. Not my proudest moment, but it had really gotten to that point. I think she finally got the hint from me and all the other neighbors, and has now cut back a good deal, but I can understand first hand how these neighbors feel if he is in fact blowing his yard this much.

What are his neighbors supposed to do about the noise invading their "little piece of paradise"?

Why does he need an industrial sized leaf blower?

It would be be a great time for them to blow their lawns as well.

Some HOA regulations have restrictions against this sort of thing. I would start there.

Read the article again. The court is now allowing him to blow 3 times a week.

If I was limited to blowing leaves three times a week I'd go crazy. This is America, not north Korea!

I live in a town home and I know how loud those things are every Monday morning, as they are literally my alarm clock, but im pretty sure neighborhoods like his would end up with people whining about having too many leaves in his yard also.

"Treaster maintains he only uses his blower during the times his Homeowner’s association allows for it, between 8 AM and 6PM."
-Technically he was doing nothing wrong, but just being a clean and noisy neighbor.
