Will this include a live fire exercise? Do people have to supply their own firearm and ammo for that part?

You know there are a myriad of ways one can defend themselves without using a gun, right? I'd imagine that's all the MARTA PD will be teaching.

Yes, starting with not sleeping on the train. I've seen far too many of these folks lately.

Probably teaching basic Krav Maga, Judo, BJJ, Kick Boxing, etc.. These techniques if used correctly, in close range, are extremely effective and quite dangerous to the culprit.

Easy, there are hand techniques that allow you to quickly take control of the person's hand that has the knife. Its not all about slamming people to the ground, but rather taking control of the situation.

Well, I tend to think this is good small step to beginning to address the problem, but it is certainly not a solution. I would think that no matter how skilled she is, my 110 pound daughter would not be able to stand up to a 200 pound man hell bent on doing her harm.
