It's like having only built MARTA heavy rail from 5 Points to North Ave, charging the standard fare, and then being surprised it doesn't get incredible ridership.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess, but if it were me and I was hoping to move up the economic ladder and improve my quality of life I'd take the car.
As long as they don't have to pay for the insurance, fuel, maintenance, registration fees or parking. Owning a car comes with its own set of burdens, but most people are able to overlook those for the ability to go farther and arrive on their own schedule, congestion permitting.

Amazing how public transit is still tied into poverty. The old adage that only poor people ride the bus is never going to go away, is it?

I agree. With regard to this, we need to squat or get off the pot. Once you start extending the line out to the up and coming intown neighborhoods, you'll begin to see an increase in ridership.

Which we will see if the MARTA sales tax increase gets approved in November by CoA voters. Looking forward to seeing the projects list soon.

Does this mean when the Braves don't make the postseason in 2017, we can declare STP a failure?

Sounds like a pretty useless set of statistics then. People commuting to Manhattan? I've been there and I don't kid myself that everyone lives on the Island. Nor do I kid myself that everyone working there even lives in one of the five burroughs.

I still freaking love that city though.
