Reach out to Jewish Family and Career Services -- you don't have to be Jewish at all -- and learn about the services they offer. They do a terrific job.

They run a really terrific day program and I think they operate some group homes.

Why is a group home her next phase? Just curious? My son is autistic and 13. I am looking towards the future and hoping to have a good understanding of all of his options. Is there a reason that a group home is or isn't desirable? I am totally unfamiliar with the current state of group home living.

Because I have no family and there is no one to take her. I have health issues as well and her father doesn't want her. He is remarried and too busy for her.
