Sounds like a scare tactic from people who don't know what they are talking about, but are generally just wanting to stop any type of development.

The reality of the situation is this type of development is more costly to build and requires higher rent businesses, which are more similarly found in a newer regional mall.

Realistically it will be very similar to Ashley park/Newnan Crossing in Newnan or the various Forums, Shoppes, Ashford Crossing, Avenues, etc... that we have dotting the North side of town.

Love it or hate, that is what it will have to realistically be to pay for itself. These developments are essentially the modern equivalent as a replacement of a shopping mall from the '60s-'90s era.

Now a few general big box developments, gas stations, and fast food places will likely follow in the vicinity as customer traffic picks up.

I think that if they do not help the homeowners in Plantation Walk and Walden Communities with being able to get out of their subdivisions, people are going to die. These communities have quite a few older residents, and without the help of traffic light consideration, the great influx of traffic will cause serious situations! Jodeco Road is already overused due to the I-75 corridor gridlock, both during the week and on the weekends. Henry County does not have the highest past practice in having adequate traffic flow and signals when throwing up large developments in rural areas.
