Anybody can recommend a really good endocrinologist around? Anybody in Fulton/Cobb county or closer to Atlanta is fine too. Would really appreciate some pointers. Thank you!

Dr. Darwin Brown at the DeKalb Medical center. I know it's not Fulton or Cobb, but I live in Cobb and he is worth the drive. 404.299.2223

No longer an ATL resident, but made it my home for 17 years. As luck would have it, Atlanta has several world-class endocrinologists.

They don't come any better than Paul Davidson and Bruce Bode. I saw Bode for 15+ years -- particularly when it comes to insulin pump therapy, I'm not sure there is a better endo in the world.

Overall, any of the docs with Atlanta Diabetes Associates (Piedmont Hosp.) would be a great choice. Good luck!

Will these doctors be ideal as pediatric endocrinologists? Sorry I forgot to mention that I am looking a endo for my child and not sure if I should necessarily look for a ped endo. Any ideas? Thank you.

Atlanta Diabetes Associates sees children, I believe, and if not, you can ask them whom they would recommend. The docs there treat all endocrine problems, not just diabetes, as the name of the practice might imply.
