My family and I will be relocating to the ATL this summer. I am hoping to teach in Henry County, as I have already started the application process and that county really interests me. We will however be living in either Fulton County or Dekalb County for a short period of time. What is the commute like? Will I be going against the traffic? I know about the traffic woes in the area, but can anyone help me out? Like I stated we will only live in that area for a short period.

Why don't you live in Henry County? You will really like the McDonough area. Dekalb is ok. My wife and I live in Henry. I work downtown and she works in the East Point area as a teacher. Henry doesn't pay as well as others. The traffice is not as bad as it seems. Especially for a teacher, because of the time you are up and going to work traffic is fine. The drive home is a lot different, but still not to bad. Traffic is bad no matter where you live in Atlanta. That is why the back roads are important. Let me know if you are looking for a real state agent. I know a wonderful couple who helped find us a home. You will be very happy with them. You really should consider Henry county if you are going to working there already.

We will eventually move to Henry County, but since we are moving from out of state before our current lease ends we have to transfer our lease to an apartment (with the same leasing company) in Fulton or Dekalb counties.
