Trump's racist appeal will win him the nomination, but it's exactly what will also lose him the election. The people that would vote for him simply do not make up a numeric majority.

Me too. Scary stuff.

It may end up really close, because Trump might be able to win some rust belt states in the north that are typically blue. But I can't see him winning Florida, with its very high non-white population. Or Colorado, or much of anything in the southwest. So for that reason I believe Hillary will be the president.

I've never liked her, but at least she's not the freaking Third Reich imperial uprising. This is just getting surreal with the Trump camp.

He's a lock to win it in a general election. And, if he were to choose Rubio as his running mate, they'd likely get Florida too.

Instead, Republican voters seem bent on nominating Trump or Cruz. Neither of those guys will carry Ohio. That state chose Obama over McCain in 2008 and over Romney in 2012. And McCain and Romney were far more inclusive and moderate compared with Cruz or Trump. But still, they couldn't win Ohio. There is no way that Trump or Cruz win Ohio. And I doubt, very much, that either of them could win Florida in a general election either.

Voters this election cycle, especially GOP voters, are incredibly myopic. They need to look at November. Instead they're whipping themselves into a froth over the 'bread and circuses' rhetoric of Donald Trump.
My wife and I went with Kasich because of this. We were between Rubio and Kasich until recently, but we just can't see how Rubio can beat out Trump with Cruz in the race.

The good thing about showing East Coast results while polls are still open in the West is that it could motivate people to vote to tip the scale.

At 7:50 pm, AJC is showing NONE of the metro Atlanta county reporting results yet, and less than 1% of Republican results. There's a lot more to come. Track the counties here: Atlanta Election Guide 2016 | SEC Primary March 2016 | www.ajc.com
