In Core of Downtown Atlanta, $110K Goes Surprisingly Far - Curbed Atlanta

Downtown Atlanta is a best buy for sure. It is somewhere I am working on moving to.

Cute but...a little over 500 square feet? I'm in 750 square feet and it's just me and 2 cats, and even with one more guest in the place it can seem a little cramped. It's an adjustment is all I am saying. Maybe you have occupied a similar size space, and if so, I'll shut the heck up. : )

However, if you're super confident you could rent it out if you couldn't sell it in the event of a job transfer, then maybe it is a bargain. To find anything less than $200K in this market is a challenge, though, so I get totally get it. I really do.

The HOA fees on this place are $480/mo though, not to mention there's no parking included. Both of those knock the price down a fair bit.

Who needs parking, when you live downtown?

No place for the puppy dogs to run around either. Dogs prefer yards over leash walks.

Nice view. Of a brick wall.

But I guess that doesn't matter, because you'd never even be home, what with Underground Atlanta and Five Points MARTA station to constantly explore.

This condo is cheap because it has a terrible view, virtually no square footage, ridiculous HOA fees, and no parking. Given that it's been on the market for 3 months, it's obviously priced above market value.

As far as things go, the size is horrible. The price is exceptionally cheap as if you scroll down the page, you get to see an for one at the same address around $500k. Either someone is desperate or something is the matter in that unit.

I like downtown quite a bit, but they need to work on some things like a grocery store to make it worth the money. A club or restaurant here and there doesn't make it livable for your day-to-day tasks. Most things close too early, and it's basically a business street. When the offices close, it's lights out which makes it not feel like a real downtown.

At any rate, I think it has real potential, and I love the architecture and walkability, but there has to be more normal things to walk to when people get home from work and school.
