Default What's with the burned down houses?

Maybe it's me, but lately, I see these amazing homes and literally, two weeks later, they're burned down! First one was in Dunwoody. But my all time favorite house of all (on Powers Ferry across from the Chastain Park Tennis Center) is now gone! Does anyone know what happened? It was a Charleston style home with a big front porch. My favorite home to pass when walking the Chastain loop. Would love to know where it went!

That home burned down during a party in December. Apparently candles on the front porch ignited some real pine garland around the door. The entire home burned to the ground in 20 minutes in spite of rapid fire department attention. As I said, there was a party going on at the time, but thankfully everyone escaped without harm. Sad...

Wow. I can't believe it. I loved that house. I feel terrible for the owners as I remember watching it go up. So sad.
