1. I'm a software engineer and it's a good place for people in my industry.
2. Healthy real estate market.
3. Being on the ground floor less than a decade into the first major inner-core redevelopment of the metro.
4. The drive towards liveable/walkable communities and suburbs that are becoming small cities in their own right.
5. Being able to take advantage of growth of the Southern economy without being in a conservative area.
6. More affordable than the Northeast where I'm from.
7. Warmer winters, but still some skiing nearby.
8. Less than 5 hours from some of the best beaches in the nation.

5. Great commute, no highway for me to get to and from work!
6. Churchs (smallest to the largest)

You're gonna laugh at me but I love the LOW HUMIDITY (spoken like a true NOLA girl).

Seriously I think this place has just about perfect weather. My husband and I spent a whole day yesterday cleaning out the jungle that is now my backyard. It was lovely...

1. The low cost of living is great.
2. I live in Midtown, and I love being able to walk pretty much anywhere I need to go. In fact, my husband and I are downsizing to one car.
3. The temperate climate is great. I don't know if I could survive a harsh northern winter.
4. The city has good colleges and universities.
5. Atlantans are relatively friendly and polite as a whole, compared to most big city dwellers.
