The main concern for me is that no one better mess with my little farm. And so far, not a single candidate seems to be addressing those of us who homestead as a lifestyle.

It will be interesting to hear the outcome since the City of South Fulton has been established.

Those areas were being serviced by Atlanta before the court case. Its all been a bit of a mess. South Fulton's borders are ridiculous. They make no sense in the long run.

The South Fulton side is talking about an Atlanta "land grab", when they're the ones who literally came in and grabbed up 100% of all available unincorporated land in the entire county.

At this point I think think all these cities in Fulton should get together and trade territory for territory, until their borders are cohesive and clean and make some kind of lick of sense, with somewhat clearly defined areas. Everyone would be better off, especially the people who are going to be in weird little disconnected peninsulas of one city, surrounded by another city.

Also, South Fulton needs a new name and an identity. And a downtown of some kind, to give some kind of sense of location. 'South Fulton' is supposed to mean that whole area south of Atlanta, including multiple cities. Just like North Fulton does.

I like the concept of this, and think that, while unlikely to happen, it should happen.

It would be interesting to see the chaos of negotiating through such a thing, though.

Don't feel like reading through all these comments. Did this pass? And will the new name of the city be "South Fulton"

Weird name. Anyone know what the demographics of this new city will be? Will it have the tax base to even support itself? It seems to be mainly poor areas but I'm not that familiar with it.

This whole South Fulton is ridiculous. I would have liked to see Atlanta's land area increase for once. Economically speaking no one knows any other city in this metro area aside from Atlanta so why not just merge with the City of Atlanta and just have a different identity in a sense like every other neighborhood in the City Limits.
