Question Great Fishing Spot In Metro Atlanta

My dad is visiting from Scotland and I want to take him fishing. However, I have never fished a day in my life and therefore, I am not familar with any great fishing spots at all in Metro Atlanta. I am not looking to spend money on boats, GPS systems, or boots. I did buy some fishing rods, but I was wondering, can someone tell me of a great place where I can go fishing and actually catch some fish from the exception of Piedmont Park. I am looking for a serene setting. I know that people fish at the Chattahoochee, but does anyone know of a great spot at the Chattahoochee or anywhere else.

Call the Fish Hawk in Buckhead and ask to speak to either Bob Merriman, Gary Merriman or Rob Rooks. Their number is (404) 237-3473. Tell them your situation and they'll set you up. There is also an access point to the Chattahoochee in my neighborhood, right off of Whitewater Creek Road. You would need waders to fish that area though. But the guys at Fish Hawk should be able to tell you exactly where to go. Afterwards, take your Dad to Churchill Arms in Buckhead. It's the closest thing we have to a British pub. By the way, Rob is also a Tennesee fan.

Have fun!
