I found out today that natural gas is de-reg in GA.

Thanks!

I've been fairly happy with Georgia Natural Gas, but this web site and this one can give you various bits of information about the various choices you might have.

I was happy with Georgia Natural Gas for over 5 years until I read a story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution pointing out I'd been paying higher rates than new customers for the past year. Here's the latest on this ongoing tale, in which both GNG and SCANA are villains:

Ga. Natural Gas to pay $2.5 million in pricing dispute | ajc.com

I got our my bills and using the calculator on the PSC website pointed to by rcsteiner, discovered I'd been overpaying by about $50 per month this past winter. The settlement agreed to by GNG will give loyal customers like me $25 each (that's total, not per month) in compensation, if we remain with GNG as our gas marketer.

They must be kidding. I used the PSC website to pick another marketer - I went with Cobb County-based Fireside Natural Gas - and switched. I've only been with Fireside a month so can't offer any reports on how they are to deal with, long-term.

I have GNG and locked into a great 12 month rate. They have online billing and excellent custome service. All delivery is via Atlanta Gas Light, and you pay for the infrastructure and delivery separate. Go for whoever offers the best price and service.
