People that keep blaming Matt Ryan don't watch much football. Out of the last ten years, how many teams in the NFL have won a championship with a defense that couldn't stop a 2 year old?

I agree. Matt has his faults, but a lot of the blame over the past few seasons falls on the defense. Even when we were "one play away" from going to the Super Bowl in 2012, the defense was lacking. It looks like Quinn and company have been making strides, so hopefully the defense can continue to improve. We went from dead-last in defense in 2014 to middle-of-the-pack in 2015, so we are trending upward. There is still plenty of room for improvement because the D still has a tendency to give up big plays. They also still have issues with stopping teams on 3rd down. You could have the greatest QB in the world, but that wouldn't matter if the D stays on the field and the QB either can't get the ball back or has to constantly play from behind.

Matty didn't play last night. It was just a preseason game.

People love to blame to QB for everything...and easily forget that he had some great seasons in the very recent past. I mean, let's at least play the season before we string him up.

Falcons should have got Joe Flaco and not Matt Ryan. Could you imagine Flaco arm and Julio Jones.

How many of the last Super Bowl winning QBs is Matt Ryan better than?

Super Bowl 38. Tom Brady (MVP), 3 TDs
Super Bowl 39. Tom Brady (Deion Branch), 2 TDs
Super Bowl 40. Ben Roethlisberger (Hines Ward), 0 TDs
Super Bowl 41. Peyton Manning (MVP), 1 TD
Super Bowl 42. Eli Manning (MVP), 2 TDs
Super Bowl 43: Ben Roethlisberger (Santonio Holmes), 1 TD
Super Bowl 44: Drew Brees (MVP), 2 TDs
Super Bowl 45: Aaron Rogers (MVP), 3TDs
Super Bowl 46: Eli Manning (MVP), 1 TD
Super Bowl 47: Joe Flacco (MVP), 3TDs
Super Bowl 48: Russell Wilson (Malcolm Smith), 2TDs
Super Bowl 49: Tom Brady (MVP), 4TDs
Super Bowl 50: Peyton Manning (Von Miller), 0TDs

Peyton Manning last year is the only one I see.

Ryan isn't the reason the team has sucked, but he is no better than 12-15th best in the league. How many bad INTs did he throw last year in close games? He easily choked away two games which could've put the team in the playoffs.

Atlanta's defense in 2015 was top half in scoring defense and yards allowed. That is hardly as bad as you described it.

Matt Ryan looked good on that last drive. A real winner.

We lost a couple of our defensive players early in the game. Not good when you're up against Winston's offense.

Still, Ryan wasn't bad.

Ryan did very well. The lack of a pass rush and dumb penalties lost the game today.
