Any rougher than the southern end of Grant Park near the Trestletree complexes; or the area near Edgewood Courts in Edgewood; or the Bedford Pine section of O4W, or the southern parts of Kirkwood that abut Memorial Drive?

The southern end of Grant Park is most definitely not "rough", by any stretch of the imagination, especially compared to the other places you mentioned. Grant Park south of the zoo is a very large area, and the area specifically next to TrestleTree is not bad either. The complex itself has issues, but I wouldn't say it bleeds into the neighborhood very often. All of Grant Park is gentrified, for better or for worse.

Bixby Court Apts are gone and has changed that area. New luxury apartments will be built on the site.

I agree with you, don't know why you'd say sorry lol!

ETA: I'd add that Washington Park is also on the rise and in the process of gentrification. The park and the Ashby station being within walking distance is a huge plus also its connectivity to Vine City and the upward swing in that area.

What does it mean when an area is considered "gentrified"...? I have a friend who lives in the southern part of Ormewood Park, for example, and her area is the same as it was 10-15 years ago. She still lives in the little Sears kit house she bought 30ish years ago.

I'm sure many could say the same about Edgewood Courts. I guess my point was that even these gentrified neighborhoods still have areas that would be on par with (perhaps a little better or worse) than the area of East Atlanta to which the previous poster was referring.
