ITP will have a meeting, and OTP can have one. We will then elect representatives to meet and work out a deal.

Oooohhh...yeah! No one will say who they are. We will start a discussion about transit and see if we can figure out who is who based on the responses.

I wouldn't be able to make it (still in PA). If this happens I definitely want to know how it goes.

We can have a NE OTP meetup
Everyone would be welcome but I doubt the PTC folk would really want to make that trek!

Another reason it's a good idea is because we don't want to see the city data name and immediately judge the person. I think it's important to be able to get to know the person first. I know not everyone is like me but seriously, be real...would you not judge (even if by accident) if you saw the c.d. name first? Obviously it could go the other way and you may like the person because of who they are.

Trust is important and it's good to get to know people before revealing your true identity. HAHA I just laughed at the sound of that sentence.

With all the posts on transit, it may not take long before you figure people out. It's amazing how people pay attention to the way you write and the words you use. This would help in figuring who's who.

i think we should plan it maybe a month or two out so more people can make it. let's go ahead and nail this down. Fieldm, i think the joystick bar sounds like a great idea. Do you want to make another thread and maybe make a poll with a few potential dates so people can vote on when they're available?

Yeah, I agree. I think that this weekend is too short notice. It was set for this Saturday, right? Maybe we could also vote on certain locations and just keep those locations that get a lot of votes in consideration for future meetups. I like the Cumberland area suggestion as there is a lot in the area and it is sort of central (can't say it's central because it depends on who you ask).

Joystick also sounds like a good idea. I like what I see on their web site.

Nothing is set. We were just throwing out dates. The OP like the previous poster said should post a new thread with the time and location in the heading of the thread. I wouldn't recommend people giving out names of places because everyone will not agree on where to go and it will just drag out. For events like this its best just to pick a place and time and go from there

yeah, plus there are a lot of us who are minorities and whatnot that might not be too popular in certain OTP bars especially to the south, east, and west... whereas a place on edgewood seems more like a neutral zone.

Saturday, May 21st at 7 PM, Joystick Bar on Edgewood, Nametags with no screen names and at the end of the night we guess?
