Hi all. Looking to buy a house in brookhaven. Have seen some good ones in the area around Oglethorp University, north of peachtree rd. Any thoughts on the neighborhood? I've also heard good things about Ashford elementary, despite their 4 in Greatschools.

It's a good, solid area (solid meaning it should be stable value-wise). Close to a couple of large parks, good dining, very close to MARTA, and parents absolutely adore Ashford Elementary -- not sure why it has a 4.

That is the issue with trusting a school grading website.

I live close to that area and think it's terrific. Also great access to Buckhead, Chamblee, and Buford Highway. So much development going on in that area.
