Now, I am noticing more soon-to-be-construction along RDA around Windsor St. and Ira St. Does anyone know what they are building there? More homes?

I didn't read through the links, but I know there is a lot of construction in the immediate area as they are upgrading the streets to be porous. I drive through this area almost every day and they are tearing up streets all over the neighborhood.

DWM is investing millions into porous streets that will help with flooding in the area.

True, but there are empty blocks of dirt around the porous streets facing north on Abernathy. It looks like they are about to build something on the blocks around the porous streets...

The ribbon cutting for this project was today. It's amazing how quickly these homes rose from the dirt.

Isn't 15 years a little bit too long before they're able to buy the house.

15 years is a long time, but I believe the reason for this time frame is so this project could get federal money, since that was a requirement of the particular government program this development qualified for.

That was my thought, too. Maybe it could be a lease purchase, so that if you've rented for three years some of that money could go toward the purchase price.

Or why not just let people buy up front, with down payment assistance?
