I would like to have my internet, cable, and phone hooked up before I get there but I do not know what sercive providers are good in the downtown area. I have looked at bundle packages through Comcast, AT&T, and others but they still seem expensive. I did find smaller internet providers for $9.99/month, but was not able (yet) to find low individual prices for cable t.v. and a landline phone.
Any recommendations or providers to stay away from?
Oh, are there many places downtown to get groceries?
What is the average child care center cost for a 2 year old?

Downtown childcare is going to cost a bit - around 200/wk.

You've got options for internet - ATT, Comcast, Verizon Wireless (expensive but portable anywhere there is an EVDO network)

TV - Comcast, Dish Network, DirecTV

From experience I'd say they're all bad. Service is just terrible for all of them.

Are you going to be living in an apartment or a house? What part of downtown? The actual downtown or the neighborhoods around downtown that newcomers often call downtown?

I guess I'm not really sure what area. My friend's brother owns properties in and around atlanta and all I know is that he said he had a condo available downtown

OK, so it's a condo and it's in the actual real downtown? Can you get a street name?

Anyway, does the condo come with any utilities?

I can't get the info right this minute. I do know that I will have to pay for utilities.

OK, I was thinking that there are a lot of downtown and Midtown apartments that include a lot of things like cable and internet. Have you considered going that route?
