I believe his company sold Avalon and is no longer involved with it, so I'm sure his care level went down. I'm sure he still cares, just less.

He cares deeply about transit, so much he sold his North Fulton home to move to Midtown. It'll be interesting to hear his view point.

Actually I think he lived in East Cobb, prior to where he lives now.

"BRT" on 400 is just going to mean express buses running in traffic in the managed lanes. That's not BRT. And in any case, to make you change modes between HRT/BRT, just to keep going in the same direction, is silly as can be.

Holcomb Bridge "BRT", I doubt they'll do that right either. It will probably just be a frequent bus with some signal priority or whatever.

Once again, glad I escaped miserably internally confused Fulton County. None of this seems rational, or designed by people who actually ride transit.
$250-$350 million per mile. 2 miles to Northpoint area beyond Holcomb Bridge. 5 to Avalon. $1.25 to $1.75 billion with the last 3 miles still mostly forest along 400.

Mostly forest? You're joking right? I mean you're looking at GA-400 between Northpoint and Windward right? Not up there toward Cumming? There's a bit of a tree buffer between the highway sure, but we're talking 200 feet worth at most, and that's true all the way to I-285 and on into Atlanta!

If you turn 3D off in the options on Google Maps, you'll see a more recent satellite image, which shows more development through there, with Northwinds Pkwy now extending all the way through.

Plus you gotta consider what it will look like when construction of the line/stations is actually completed. Like for example there are large planned mixed use projects on both sides of Haynes Bridge Rd. And new towers planned for the south side of Old Milton, along the new Northwinds.
