There goes the best dog walking spot in my neighborhood.

Glad to see the Beltline expand, but many, myself included, will miss this stretch of unpaved greenery.

Well there goes the home prices . Also does this include the section south of Glenwood Park, and how far will the extension stretch?

Currently building it down to Kirkwood Ave. The designs are ready down to Memorial but they need $6M for the bridge over Mauldin.

They have been doing a lot of meetings to finish the designs down to Glenwood in the next couple months. The rest of the south side trail is hoped to be done before the end of the year. They are hoping to be ready to start work once the ROW is bought from CSX.

We'll see what happens, but I think the Beltline is already fully built in to home prices in Inman Park and Reynoldstown, the two neighborhoods that will be seeing the Beltline arrive in their neighborhoods in this phase of construction. If there's still unexplored territory for prices to go even further north, that would be insane (good for me, but not sure it's great for the area).

I am mega-excited to see construction start in my neighborhood. Some of my neighbors are griping about the trees they took down, but I hope everyone will realize the benefits (and that trees are a renewable resource) once the trail arrives.

I don't think too much new in this article besides that 905 Memorial / "Madison Yards" is moving on through the zoning process. But this quote caught my eye:

Fuqua notes that 3,900 multi-family units are in development in the area.
Developer seeks makeover of land near Atlanta Beltline in... | www.ajc.com

By comparison, that is about the same number of units under construction in Midtown.

Southeast Atlanta is on fire!
