Nathan Deal to veto Georgia’s ‘campus carry’ legislation (Columbus: apartment, transfer)

Have a nice day knowing that guns are all around you on campus today. And the only question is whether the good guys carrying them is legal or not.

As someone who actually works on a college campus, unlike the vast majority of the pro-campus carry loons in this state, I am once again proud of Deal doing the right thing. Guns have no place on a college campus, no matter who is carrying them.

And to the poster who says that the people against campus carry are the minority, think again. I don't give two sh88ts what people who don't spend their everyday on a campus think about whether guns belong there or not. The vast majority of students, faculty, administration, and staff are in agreement that guns DO NOT belong on a campus, and they have the stats and facts to back up their argument.

Exhibit A of the voting public in this state. There is a reason the legislature is full of a bunch of idiots, because the above ones keep voting them back in.

So it makes you MORE of a man because you have a fire arm?Alot of students dont even have proper training and do you really think the campus be safer with a bunch of 20 somethings who think a gun is a toy carry loaded(or unloaded)fire arms on campus?We have campus police for a reason it is their job to make sure the campus is safe.But of course people like you want to carry those toys to be a "man"

I had some formal firearms training (as in not just by family members) by the time I was in college, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I didn't carry, tho.
