The Atlanta city cancel is facing the same vote about allowing airport pickups. The city council is requiring fingerprints in their proposal. I think its reasonable and personally as a rideshare driver don't have a problem with doing it.

I am all for uber and Lyft but it seems like if they are going to operate like taxi cab companies they should follow the same rules so everybody is on a level playing field.

The same rules as other livery companies: Fingerprinting of drivers, clear and consistent marking of vehicles as livery vehicles (basically, for Uber and Lyft, that means a decal on the front windshield), no blocking traffic to pick up or drop off passengers.

I cast one of the votes that continues the reasonable regulations that TNCs must abide by in Austin. The last straw was when they tried to recall a Austin city council member solely because she was for the regulations. Lots of hubris and arrogance from these San Francisco-based companies who tried to buy a set of rules they liked.

These are my complaints against them. They don't have to jump through the same hoops despite doing essentially the same thing. Uber at least now has the little placards up front.

Lyft also has the pink mustache lights in their cars.
